CST implemented this valuable service over 30 years ago. Since then, it has helped our clients make better decisions about their customers that have substantial past due balances. This service provides information on delinquent accounts in the $5000 range or higher.
How it works: You have a customer that owes your company $5000 or more, and the account is now past due. A check of your industry credit information does not reveal anything out of the ordinary. The balance remains unpaid, even though payments are promised. You're suspicious because something just doesn't "feel right" about the situation, and you'd like to have more information before you decide what to do with the account.
Here is where CST's Free Advisory Service can help. All you need to do is give us your delinquent customer's name, any background information you might have, and the name(s) of any responsible individuals. CST will then search its vast debtor database to see if we have any current claims, or any prior experience. We check other databases to which we have access, particularly ones in your customer's locale. We also consult with a local attorney in your customer's area to see if he/she has had any prior experience. We report our findings back to you free of charge, usually in less than 24 hours. The information we uncover can often provide great insight into the potential recovery of past due balances. Armed with this additional information, you should be able to make a quicker, more informed decision about how to proceed, either to give the customer a bit more time, or place the account with CST for collection.
